By: Roberto Figueroa | March 29, 2021

The Castillo de San Felipe del Morro, or simply known as El Morro, is a Fortress built between the 16th and 18th centuries. It was built by the spaniards to  protect the island from the attacks of its enemies.

But time continues its course and what was built before to keep the world away from our Puerto Rico today opens to receive visitors from all over the world, thus being one of the main tourist attractions of our island.

El Morro belongs to the United States National Park Service and was declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations in 1983. You can find more information about the Castillo de San Felipe here.

Dear visitors, on your vacation to Puerto Rico, do not forget to put the Castillo San Felipe del Morro on your agenda and feel like a true conqueror walking through its walls, “Garitas” and the impressive view of the Atlantic Ocean.
