Playa Medio Mundo – Another Hidden Beach

Ceiba

By: Ivan Gonzalez | March 15, 2020

Playa Medio Mundo is a secluded beach located on the east coast of Puerto Rico in the town of Ceiba. It is part of the Reserva Natural Medio Mundo y Daguao, and it is not a “Balneario.” As such, it does not have facilities such as showers, dressing rooms, lifeguards, or safety buoys available.

The beach is located next to Los Machos Beach, and it is not well-known among tourists. The first impression of the beach may not be favorable due to the abundance of seaweed, but once you get past it, you will find soft white sands and crystal clear blue waters.

Accessing Playa Medio Mundo requires a bit of a trek through mangroves and trees, but the effort is worth it as the beach is relatively quiet and peaceful. It is a great place to escape the crowds and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

Activities available at Playa Medio Mundo include swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. It’s a perfect place for those who are looking for a secluded spot, and want to experience the nature in a more raw and unspoiled way. The beach is an ideal destination for those who are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Puerto Rico.
