Mar Chiquita is located in the north of the Island, in the town of Manati, La Poza de las Mujeres y Las Cuevas de la Golondrina are close nearby. As this beach is not a “Balneario,” such facilities as showers, dressing rooms, lifeguards, and safety buoys are not available. You will be able to find a small parking place by the entrance of the beach.
Mar Chiquita is a magnificent natural creation. An opening in the rocky coastline allows the waters from the Atlantic Ocean to fill this natural wonder, forming a sea shell-like swimming pool. This beach is ideal for swimming for the whole family or just simply enjoy the sun. There is an upcoming project to declare Mar Chiquita an ecological nature reserve.
